iGlobalNetworks opened in
2000 on private funding by the partnership of Daniel
Ribelin and Joseph Wilkins. A few years later we
were purchased by DeBartolo Holdings and have since
grown at a fairly substantial rate. Our business
philosophy is simple and straight forward -- offer
the customer “Unprecedented Support”. We have
developed a business plan that allows us to grow at
our pace eliminating the growing pains that have
plagued other providers in our industry for years.
We have established and maintained personal
relationships with the vendors who provide us
everything from routers to servers. We have
partnered with Switch and Data allowing us to focus
on what we do best; running our network and
supporting our clients.
Our “Unprecedented
Support” comes from the ability and skills of our
technical staff. We have the highest skilled Linux,
UNIX, and Windows engineers in the field today.
iGlobalNetworks does not have layers of technical
support frustrating you before you get to the
technician that can fix the problem. The first voice
you hear when you call our technical support is the
technician that will fix the problem. We believe
that our customers should never need our technical
support; however, should a customer ever need us we
are there on the first call. Now that truly is
“Unprecedented Support”.
iGlobalNetworks has
a plan for growth which allows us to adapt to the
ever changing Internet landscape. We have chosen
Switch and Data as our colocation facility for many
reasons here are just a few. Switch and Data
maintains the environment at the optimum for
electrical devices. They take care of the daily
maintenance of the power grid, air conditioners,
battery backups, generators and the security.
Eliminating these few key areas from our
responsibility has allowed us to concentrate solely
on the build up and security of our network. Switch
and Data is great company to partner with – they
keep it simple and we benefit.
Our network has
been designed to offer speed, reliability, and
accountability. We negotiate our own Service Level
Agreements (SLA’s) giving us a competitive advantage
– we know what we want and are unwilling to
compromise our goals to get it. We currently have a
full Gigabit uplink to Level3 and Progress Telecom.
These two providers are our primary providers. We
run a BGP4 enabled network with ImageStream routers
and Extreme Networks switches. Our choices are based
on practical experience and we have yet to be
disappointed by any of our providers. We use Quality
of Service (QoS) to ensure that our packets leave
our network at full speed. We have purchased and
implemented software and hardware to monitor and
alert our technical staff of any problems or issues.
We know that our customers demand the best and so do
we.
iGlobalNetworks has
two bandwidth accounting methods that clients may
chose between. The first is the aggregated method
which allows for the direct payment for bandwidth
used. This method is best suited for sites with
higher levels of traffic that do not have a spiked
bandwidth graph. We also can use the 95th percentile
allowing us to filter traffic and eliminate
overages. The 95th percentile is better for lower
traffic sites that do not have high bandwidth
requirements.
All of this is
impressive since we started with just a business
class DSL, a single technician, and a different
business plan, only a few years ago. Make the change
